JAKARTA, INDONESIAUPDATES.COM – Former South Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Head, AKBP Bintoro, has been officially dismissed with dishonorable discharge (PTDH) due to his involvement in a bribery case linked to the son of Prodia’s owner. The decision was made in an ethics trial held on Friday, February 7, 2025.

Commissioner Kompolnas, Chairul Anam, confirmed that AKBP Bintoro was found guilty and received the maximum disciplinary action in the ethics trial.

“He has been sanctioned with PTDH, while AKP M is still undergoing proceedings, which could take some time,” Anam told the media.

To date, two police officers have been dishonorably discharged in connection with this case.

Appeal Against PTDH Decision

Following the ruling, AKBP Bintoro has filed an appeal against the PTDH decision.

“They are all appealing,” Anam stated.

In addition to AKBP Bintoro, three other police officers allegedly involved in the bribery scandal also faced an ethics trial at Polda Metro Jaya on the same day.

“Among the three who were sanctioned, AKBP GG and Ipda ND received demotions and are barred from serving in the criminal investigation unit,” Anam clarified.

All three officers have also filed appeals against the verdicts.

Bribery Case Involving Prodia’s Owner’s Son

The case originated from allegations that several police officers received bribes related to a legal case involving Prodia’s owner’s son. Kompolnas also highlighted the active role of a lawyer in facilitating the bribery.

The ethics trial continues for other suspects, including AKP M, whose case remains under review.
