INDONESIAUPDATES.COM, News En – The Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning and Head of the National Land Agency, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), emphasized that the development of housing in Jakarta through the Vertical Land Consolidation (KTV) program in slum areas necessitates community readiness.
“First and foremost, the community must be willing because this is the land they have occupied for so long,” he stated in Jakarta on Friday.
AHY believes that if the community is aware and willing to be temporarily relocated for approximately eight months, the construction program can be realized. KTV aims to reorganize land that is fragmented in terms of ownership and use to enhance environmental quality, with active community participation.
This housing improvement initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, aimed at providing legal certainty for residents and viable housing solutions for the community.
“This is a collaboration between the ATR/BPN Ministry, the DKI Provincial Government, and the Tzu Chi Buddha Foundation. The scheme is collaborative,” said AHY.
In Jakarta, there are currently two KTV projects that have been built and inaugurated: the Rumah Barokah located in Palmerah, West Jakarta, and Rumah Cinta Damai in Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.
The four-story building known as “Rumah Cinta Damai,” situated in Tanah Tinggi, Johar Baru, has been constructed under the Vertical Land Consolidation scheme. AHY noted that the land and spatial issues are handled by the ATR/BPN Ministry, while the construction is funded through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The DKI Provincial Government continues to oversee the process to ensure that construction is relatively swift, taking about eight months.
He hopes that similar housing developments can be replicated in other locations.
During the same event, regarding KTV in Tanah Tinggi, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono mentioned that a land certificate in the form of a Building Use Rights Certificate has been issued under the name of the Rumah Cinta Damai Shared Ownership Association.
The physical condition of the housing has met the standards for adequate housing and has received a Certificate of Feasibility for Use (SLF) with number SK SLF-317108-11092024-001.
Additionally, a Unit Ownership Title Certificate for the building has been issued, and the DKI Provincial Government is also working to encourage residents to manage, maintain, and care for Rumah Cinta Damai Tanah Tinggi through the formation of the Shared Ownership Association.
AHY expressed his hope that this program can continue for the community in the future, as it is one of the solutions to address population density in Jakarta.
