Indonesian Fans Cast 110,000 Votes in National Team Jersey Design Poll

JAKARTA, INDONESIAUPDATES.COM – Erspo CEO Muhammad Sadad has revealed that 110,000 accounts participated in selecting the design for Indonesia’s national team jersey through the official website, kitagaruda.id.

Erspo, in collaboration with PSSI, organized a nationwide jersey design competition open to designers across Indonesia. After a rigorous selection process, the best designs were shortlisted and put to a public vote.

“Around 200,000 to 300,000 accounts registered for the poll, but only 110,000 actively participated in choosing the final design for the Indonesian national team jersey,” said Muhammad Sadad in Jakarta on Saturday (February 8, 2025).

Fans Prefer Collared Jerseys

Sadad expressed his surprise at the poll results, as most fans favored a collared jersey design. Initially, he had anticipated that the neck collar style would be the top choice.

“The most popular choice turned out to be the collared design. Many fans liked it, but we are still considering all public opinions,” Sadad explained.

Following the poll results, Sadad discussed the design details with PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir. Thohir suggested that the home jersey should feature a collar, while the away jersey should maintain the neck collar style.

Final Decision and Official Launch

The final decision set the home jersey—predominantly red—with a collared design, while the away jersey—white—would retain the neck collar.

Erspo and PSSI officially launched the home and away jerseys under the theme “Indonesia Pusaka: The Pride of Indonesia” in January. The jerseys are set to go on sale online starting February 14, 2025.
