Jakarta, En indonesiaupdates — Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) General (ret.) Budi Gunawan revealed that public satisfaction with President Prabowo Subianto has reached 81.2% based on the government’s internal survey as of early July 2025.

Speaking during a meeting with the DPR RI Budget Agency at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta, Budi emphasized that the government is now concentrating efforts on realizing President Prabowo’s priority programs for 2026.

“As of early July, the public satisfaction level with President Prabowo stands at 81.2 percent,” Budi stated on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Strong Approval Across Key Performance Areas

Budi highlighted several areas where the president’s performance was especially well-received:

  • Socio-cultural development: 95.1%

  • National security: 83.1%

  • Political stability: 70.8%

  • Law enforcement: 67.8%

  • Macroeconomic performance: 67.4%

“These achievements reflect strong public confidence in the current administration,” Budi explained, citing official survey data.

Government Submits 2026 Budget Proposal

During the session, the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs also presented its budget proposal for 2026, aimed at supporting and implementing President Prabowo’s upcoming priority programs.

“We oversee nine coordination desks, including two special task forces, and submitted the 2026 budget plan. The proposal is still under discussion and will be finalized in the next meeting,” said Budi.

Coordinating Ministry Plays Strategic Role in National Enforcement

The former chief of Indonesia’s State Intelligence Agency (BIN) described the Coordinating Ministry as the spearhead of national law enforcement, actively involved in high-impact programs such as:

  • Anti-smuggling operations

  • Combating online gambling

  • Drug eradication

  • Forest fire prevention

  • National task force coordination

These programs are interlinked across ministries and institutions, requiring effective coordination, synchronization, and evaluation.

“Our proposed budget reflects essential operational needs to ensure the ministry can carry out its role effectively amid current and future national security challenges,” Budi stressed.

The Prabowo administration’s emphasis on law enforcement, political stability, and national security is seen as central to its long-term vision for a stronger, more resilient Indonesia.

The upcoming 2026 programs are expected to include:

  • Institutional reform

  • Expansion of national security infrastructure

  • Social resilience programs

  • Legal enforcement modernization

With high public approval and institutional backing, the government appears poised to translate these priorities into impactful results.
