Horrific Domestic Tragedy: Man Kills His Wife in Tangerang Selatan

Tangerang, En Indonesiaupdates - A shocking domestic murder unfolded in a rented house on Jl. Rusa IV, Pondok Ranji, Ciputat Timur, South Tangerang, where a man identified as JN allegedly murdered his own wife.

The incident came to light after JN reportedly confessed to a neighbor while carrying his child, saying he had killed his wife and expressing readiness to face consequences.

Disturbing Night of Violence

According to Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, four witnesses have been questioned. One witness said they heard an argument and crying from the house that night. Around 11:00 PM, the crying ceased, but at approximately 11:50 PM, the sound of a crying child was heard.

Shortly afterward, a knock came at the witness’s door. Upon opening it, they saw JN holding the child and admitting, “Pung, I’ve killed Nisa. Do whatever you want now — call the police or hand me over to the mob.”

Police Investigation and Evidence

Neighbors swiftly reported the confession to Ciputat Timur Police. Officers conducted a crime scene investigation and discovered the victim lying lifeless on a blood-soaked mattress, covered with a blanket. A stab wound was found on her neck, inflicted by a kitchen knife — the presumed murder weapon.

"The victim was found deceased with a neck wound caused by a sharp weapon," said Ade Ary in a written statement on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

JN was immediately taken into custody, and the knife was secured as evidence. The victim’s body was sent to Kramatjati Police Hospital for an autopsy.

The case is now being handled by the Sub-Directorate of General Crime Investigations (Subdit Jatanras) of Polda Metro Jaya.
