Jakarta, En Indonesiaupdates — In a significant boost to Indonesia’s public housing agenda, BPI Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) has pledged a massive funding commitment of IDR 130 trillion to support housing projects under the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) by the end of this year.

The announcement was made by Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, who confirmed that state-owned banks grouped under Himbara, along with Bank Syariah Indonesia, have agreed to collaborate in financing the initiative.

“We’ve calculated that the total financing could reach up to IDR 130 trillion by the end of this year. The funding scheme has been finalized, and implementation can begin immediately,” Rosan stated in a written statement issued on Tuesday.

He added that the banking sector responded positively to the program, particularly due to the government guarantees backing the housing developments. “We will also provide competitive interest subsidies and ensure the process begins without delay,” he said.

Rosan emphasized Danantara’s full support for the public housing initiative while urging that the financing process should follow strict banking criteria and regulatory compliance. “We expect all stakeholders to ensure the program operates within the established legal framework,” he noted.

The Danantara chief expressed optimism that the project would deliver broad economic benefits, stimulating growth across related industries and improving public access to affordable housing. “We are committed to supporting this endeavor,” Rosan said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, known as Ara, expressed appreciation for Danantara’s strong backing. As a follow-up, Ara assigned PKP Secretary General Didyk Choiroel and BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho to coordinate and ensure the effective implementation of the funding support.

“I have tasked Secretary General Didyk Choiroel and BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho to oversee this important collaboration,” Ara stated.

The project forms part of the government’s broader ambition to expand affordable housing access for Indonesians, particularly low-income families, and reflects its commitment to addressing the national housing backlog.
