A young woman identified as PA (21) was found dead with severe burn injuries in a boarding room in Singajaya Village, Indramayu. Police suspect foul play, secure evidence, question witnesses, and review CCTV footage.

Indramayu, En Indonesiaupdates – The quiet neighborhood of Blok Ceblok, Singajaya Village, was shaken on Saturday (August 9, 2025) by the discovery of a young woman’s body inside a small boarding room. The victim, identified only as PA (21), was found lying on her back, her body covered in burn injuries.
What was once an ordinary afternoon turned into a scene of horror after local residents reported a suspicious incident to the police. Responding to the call, the Identification Unit (Inafis) of Indramayu Police quickly arrived at the location, sealing off the area with yellow police lines.
“The victim was a female tenant at the boarding house. When we arrived, she was already lifeless. We immediately carried out a crime scene investigation,” said Indramayu Police Public Relations Head, AKP Tarno.
Early findings at the scene point toward a violent act as the cause of PA’s death. Several witnesses, including the boarding house owner, have been questioned. Among the items collected by investigators were the victim’s clothing and other belongings that may hold clues to the case.
PA’s body has since been taken to Bhayangkara Hospital in Losarang for an autopsy. Police are also scouring CCTV footage from surrounding areas, hoping it will shed light on what happened in the hours before her death.
“This investigation is far from over. We are working to uncover the truth and find whoever is responsible,” Tarno emphasized, urging the public to be patient.
As the investigation continues, residents remain unsettled, haunted by the fact that such a brutal act could happen in a place they once thought was safe.
